My area of focus is the development of sustainable and smart solutions by: (i) utilizing geospatial sciences and (ii) integrating Geographical Information Science (GIS) with Building Information Modeling (BIM) across the full life cycle of the built environment. I am currently a GIS Data Specialist in the Skanska-Costain-STRABAG Joint Venture for the HS2 Project in United Kingdom. I am also a PhD Student at University College London (UCL) researching the field of GIS-BIM integration and I hold a MSc. in GIS (UCL), a MSc. in Environment & Development from National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and a MEng. in Rural & Surveying Engineering from NTUA. These qualifications facilitate a broad range of professional expertise and research interests focusing on data integration, implementation and extension of relevant Standards (IFC, CityGML, 3DCIM), 2D/3D Spatial Analysis, Spatial Databases & Data Management, 3D City Modelling, Data Visualization (Web & Mobile) and Asset Information Management with particular focus on addressing the requirements of the Architecture-Engineering-Construction (AEC) industry.
